there go i, but for my face

about me

i was like three years old when i got my first pair of glasses. apparently i would be walking into things and going cross-eyed all the time. mum was worried i wouldn't like glasses and would just break them or something but as it turned out i enjoyed being able to see what's in front of me. i wear them so much i often forget what specifically is wrong with my eyes but it's fine. my prescription has barely changed at all in the whole time i've worn glasses which is super convenient. highly recommend it.

i'm a full-time glasses wearer for that reason, but also because they play an essential role in hiding the bags under my eyes. mum acts surprised sometimes when she sees them and worries i haven't been getting enough sleep and i'm just like no they're always there. i promise.

i tried contacts for a little while but turns out i spend too much time staring at my computer screen for this to be a good idea. i had one fall out while i was sitting at my desk one day and had a whole lot of trouble finding it again. yeah i don't wear contacts anymore.
